I've been looking for a first car on Craigslist, I found this '85 318i on there. I can't decide if I should jump on it or not.

It's an auto with 165000 miles on it. There's a tear in the drivers seat and only the drivers window goes down. But, the owner states the following have all been done very recently:

-Normal Tune-Up (plugs, wires, system cleaned, air filter, etc.)
-All 4 New Tires
-Fresh Oil Change
-New Brake Pads and Rotors
-Coolant System Flushed and Hoses Replaced
-Engine Thermostat
-New Fuel Pump, Filter, and Relay

It looks to be in good condition too. They were originally asking $4500 but just dropped the price to $3700. I know these things are getting harder and harder to find so I figured I would come here for some advice before it's too late.

Here's the ad: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!

You should be able to edit this post to put it on Oppo. Alternatively, if you share the post, type nothing in the title or text fields and it will appear essentially as it normally would on Oppo (you should be able to edit your share to achieve this too).

too much for a low end autobox. Friend of mine got a manual 1991 318is with less miles and in stellar condition in and out for 4 grand

I thought the price seemed a bit high. I guess I'm just looking so hard for an E30 price is becoming less of an issue to me.

I actually tried to contact this seller about a week or so ago. He never got back to me. I emailed and called and still no response.
